Dear Thailand Tourist Police, We encountered a very hot-tempered owner of a photo studio in Chiangmai Night Bazaar, Chiengmai, Thailand. The address is Fl. 2 Soi 6, Night Bazaar, Changklan Road, Muang Chiangmai, Thailand. The name of the shop is Kaewphan Kanlaya. It is the 3rd shop from the entrance. The owner is a bald headed Thai man. My wife and I (and another couple) ordered traditional Thai costume pictures on 17 Sept and supposed to collect them on 18 Sept. On 17 Sept, before taking the pics, we informed the owner that there is something wrong with the collar. The bald headed man (only speaks Thai) and his assistant (speaks English), said, "No problem, photo-shop can correct the problem." On 18 Sept, the day of collection, we noted that the collar was not corrected by photo-shop. And so we told the owner. He lost his temper, and was very angry with us. He was rude, very unprofessional and behaved like a gangster. We were humiliated, and we were afraid that he might harm us. After much talk, he agreed to have the pictures corrected by photo-shop. And so we went back to the shop today, 19 Sept. Out of the 5 nos. of 5"x7" pcitures, one of them was not corrected. And so, we informed the bald headed Thai man. Once again, he lost his temper, threw 100 baht on the table (as a compensation for not photo-shop that 5th picture. In order not to create a scene with his gangster behaviour, we had no choice but to leave his shop. We felt cheated for the following reasons; - the 5th picture was not corrected with photo-shop - we were not given the soft copy of the corrected pictures (pictures corrected by photo-shop). The CD given does not have the corrected pictures. We were told to pay 100 baht for each corrected picture. - the gangster behaviour is unacceptable, and most unwelcome in a community noted as the land of smiling bahavor. I urge the Thai Tourist Police to investigate this complaint. I am available to assist you by email or my phone contact is XXXXXXX. The shop's telephone is 088-8043219. Our receipt no. is XXX. My email is XXXXXXXXXXXXXX Appreciate your response by email. Thank you very much.
