The French Alliance (Alliance française) has branches in three location outside of Bangkok. One of them is in Chiang Mai.
The Chiang Mai branch of French Alliance offers the same quality standards for teaching at the one in Bangkok and also organizes some French speaking cultural events.
The Chiang Mai branch was established in 1968. Nowadays, its language school teaches to more than 450 students. The cultural events include French speaking film screenings, photos exhibitions, ... and the institute also gives access to the public to its extensive library that features more than 6,000 items and over 500 videos.
For those in need of document translation, the French Alliance in Chiang Mai as received the approval of the embassies of France and Belgium in Thailand to carry out official translations.
